Food Calories
Figuring food calories is the trickiest part of the low calorie diet plan. Let's face it, the food companies want to sell more food. They understand that the world is a little more conscientious about counting calories than in the past. For this reason, they don't post the total calories of foods you buy on the food label. They break it down into serving sizes. That's right, they are deceptive. When I first started down this calorie counter road, they got me too. One day I wanted a pickle because the vinegar in them helps break down fat. So when I looked at the nutrition label, it said 5 calories. Well, I had two of them. When I added up what I ate for the day, much to my surprise, my wife told me I figured it wrong. She told me that I actually ate 30 calories when I ate those pickles. She then showed me that the label said a serving size was only 1/3 of a pickle. It was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. But never the less, it's just another part of the puzzle we need to learn in order to lose weight. Now let's talk about how a food calorie list can help us stay focused.
